DapperLads started in 1998 and opened its on-line store in early 1999. The concept behind DapperLads was to provide a choice of styles for various occasions at below retail prices. The owner, Becky Rosen, has three sons, shown above. Shopping for them was often a frustrating endeavor. First, finding sizes for three boys of different ages was difficult. Second, prices were often too high for outfits that were only going to be worn for a few occasions. Boys, and parents of boys, need to be offered variety and value for their clothes,too, she thought. Boys clothes can be nice looking and fun - not too grown-up or too ordinary. Thus began DapperLads, a store devoted to providing interesting, stylish and hard to find clothes just for boys.
